Central Cass Public School enrolls students grades K-12 and includes the outlying communities of Chaffee, Embden, Lynchburg, Amenia, Wheatland, Prosper, Absaraka, Durbin and Mapleton. Note: Mapleton has its own district with only an elementary school. Its school mascot is the Squirrels.

Parks & Recreation

Tinta Tawa Park is located on the northwest edge of town and has ball diamonds, picnic shelters, recreational trails, playgrounds and two fishing docks to the reservoir.
Governors Park is located on Front Street and pays tribute to Casselton's five North Dakota Governors and has a picnic shelter.
The Casselton Pool Park is home to the city's pool, picnic shelters, a sand volleyball court and playground equipment.
The Cottonwood Golf Course is a 9-hole public course located on the west side of town.
